Supporters can pledge an amount for each free throw made (for example, $2 per basket). The total is calculated after the event.

Join our annual Hoop-A-Thon fundraiser April 11th, 2026 starting at 12pm at the UNBC Sports Center. Participants collect pledges, shoot free throws, and raise vital funds for families in crisis.
What is HoopAThon?
Hoop-A-Thon is a community event where participants gather support from family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors by collecting pledges. During the event, each participant shoots free throws and funds are raised based on their pledge commitments.
Proceeds from this year will distrubed to local youth at risk, seniors living in isolation and the new Ronald McDonald House. Your support helps families stay close to loved ones receiving care.

Hoop-A-Thon is proud to partner with UNBC Timberwolves Basketball. Their support helps bring our community together at the UNBC Sports Centre for a day of free throws, pledges, and giving back.

How Pledges Work
Lump Sum Pledge
Supporters can choose a one-time flat donation regardless of the number of baskets made.
Mixed Support
Donors can combine both options to maximize impact and help participants reach their fundraising goals.
